Toulon and American independence

On the road to American independence, what role did the Port of Toulon and the Royal Navy play? Although this war is only marginally European, the great maritime and colonial powers have indeed participated, and among them France - blessed to face once again its best enemy, Great Britain.

On the occasion of the American National Day, which commemorates the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence the 4 July 1776 - the famous Independence Day, a mediator accompanies you to the heart of the collections and tells you the story of the link between French navy and this battle of the end of the world for the freedom which inspired the French revolution.
