By focusing on the Rochefort territory and the Navy, the exhibition aims to take stock of clothing and their ability to tell the story.
Historical witnesses, replicas aiming at fidelity to a real or fictional model, creations playing with a tradition or festive-only disguises, the actors concerned are numerous.
Supporters of an incarnated history, these clothes and those who keep them, who create them and wear them, ask the question of the true, the false and the diversion in the way one tells a time.
An exhibition to dream, to think, to feel, to touch (sometimes!), To have fun, to discover and to understand rather than to judge.
