Privatization in Brest

Castle of Brest, rich seventeen centuries of history, is home to the Navy's national museum.

This medieval fortress, miraculously spared by the meanders of history, is the oldest monument of Brest. Remodeled many times over the years, it reflects a fate mingled with that of the sea, the history of a city, a region and a country as a whole. Crossing walls and towers, the visit offers magnificent views of the harbor, military ports and trade and river Penfeld.

Do not miss: the midget submarine Seehund, the evocation of the old Brest, construction halls and naval sculpture, memories of the prison, the Oratory and its ex votos in the renovated tower and finally two new rooms recently restored evoking the activity of the Brest port XVIIIe century, through two specific themes: Marine Academy and shipping Laperouse.
